Cheap Chains

Versión en Español

Something I really hate is when people try to play with your emotions just to achieve some crappy goal (like get attention). Examples are the mail chains which now are evolving into facebook status chains. Today I found something like:

"If you know people with cancer post this in your status to show them HONOR for their FIGHT. I know 97% of my friends won't do it, but I know 3% will do it."

I'm also an attention whore, but that is really cheap emotional blackmail. People who create that kind of messages don't really care about the sick people. They just want to see how many people they can fool.

Just to be clear, I'm not angry about ALL kind of chains, sometimes they are important, I'm just angry with the ones that clearly try to manipulate you in the most despicable way.

So please, think twice before doing copy and paste, because you may obtain the opposite reaction from your friends. One option is to cut the crappy blackmail off the message if you really want to share it.

About the Blog

First of all, I am mexican and English is not my first language, so I apologize for all the many mistakes I will surely commit (and urge you to correct me).

Yeah I know the correct way is "making sense" but that name was already taken, so I choose the closest one (or at least the Spanish literal translation).

In fact, I own this other blog, totally in Spanish http://haciendosentido.blogspot.com/ where I tell a little about my life, travels and more. But since English is the most reaching lenguage at this time in the world, I decided to make this other blog, where I will put some of the more important messages I want people to read.

For now, that's all. Please come again!
